Our farm is located at Plot No-1887/1888 in Kalarahang, which is under the Mancheswar police station area in Khurda. Kam Goat And Poultry Farming Private Limited is basically just a big plot of land where we look after our animals. If you come out here, you’ll hear the goats and the chickens way before you see the gate. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the feeding and cleaning every single day, no matter the weather. Kalarahang is a good spot because it’s a bit away from the main city noise of Khurda, giving the animals more space. We aren't doing anything fancy or high-tech; it’s mostly just traditional farming with a lot of grit. The staff here lives nearby and we all just pitch in with whatever needs doing, whether it’s fixing a fence or checking on a sick bird. It can get pretty muddy when it rains, and the sun can be brutal in the afternoon, but that’s just part of farm life. We sell to local markets and people who know us from around the Mancheswar area. We don't have a big fancy office, just a small space to keep our records and some supplies. It’s a busy life, but there’s something nice about working with animals and being outdoors all day. We just take it one day at a time and keep things running.
