Hotel Subhalaxmi

If you are coming to Puri for the temple, you might see us right by the bus stand out gate. Hotel Subhalaxmi is situated on that busy stretch between Grand Road and Station Road. It gets very crowded around here, especially during the festivals. We are quite close to the Gundicha temple, which is handy for pilgrims. The noise of the buses and the crowds is part of life here. We have rooms that are basic but they do the job for a night or two. We don't have fancy elevators or carpets everywhere. It’s more of a place where you drop your bags and head out to see the Lord. The floors are tiled and we try to keep the fans running. Water can be a bit slow in the mornings when everyone is showering at once. We tell people that ahead of time. It’s a family-run kind of place. We don’t have a big uniform or anything. Just us in our regular clothes helping out. You can walk to most places from here. The station isn't far either. We’ve had people staying with us for years every time they visit Puri. It’s not a luxury stay, just a practical one. We understand what people need when they travel all this way to the coast. It’s a busy life but we enjoy meeting all the different people who visit our city.
