High Tide Exports And Imports Privatelimited operates out of a flat in IRC Village. It’s Flat No-4(A) at Plot No-N1/288 in the Nayapalli area of Bhubaneswar. It isn’t some big warehouse or a glass building. It’s just a place where we sit and manage the details of moving stuff across borders. We have a few desks pushed against the walls and a lot of folders stacked up. Importing and exporting takes a lot of patience with all the customs forms and shipping schedules. Sometimes things get delayed at the docks and we spend the whole day trying to find out where a container went. It’s mostly just me and a couple of others handling the phones. We know the tea seller downstairs pretty well because we go there three times a day. Nayapalli is a busy area, so there is always noise from the street coming through the windows. We don't really do walk-in customers since it’s all bulk stuff handled over the internet or phone. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the desk gets buried under papers. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. It works for what we need. It’s just a simple setup for a business that deals with big things far away while we stay here in our little corner of the city. We don't need much more than a good internet connection and some quiet to get through the daily logistics work.
