Orissa Foundation

Orissa Foundation is situated at Plot No 211 in Jharapada, which is part of the Laxmisagar area in Bhubaneswar. The pin code here is 751006. We have been in this part of Orissa for quite a long time. Our building is a simple structure on a regular plot, nothing that would stand out too much if you were just driving past. We use this space to manage all the different things the foundation is involved with. Most days, there are three or four of us here handling the paperwork and talking to people from the local community. Bhubaneswar has grown so much lately, but our little corner of Jharapada still feels like home. We don't have any big corporate donors or a massive staff. It’s just a small group of people who wanted to set something up in our own neighborhood. The office gets plenty of sunlight in the morning, which is nice, though it can get a bit hot by two o'clock. We have some old wooden chairs and a big table where we do most of our planning. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just come in, sit down, and try to make sure everything at the foundation is running the way it’s supposed to. It’s plain work, but we find it worth the effort.
