Our office is located at 38 Dharmavihar in Bhubaneswar. It is a quiet enough street most days, which helps us focus on the social welfare work we do here. Bharat Integrated Social Welfare Agencies started because there was a lot of need in the local community that wasn't being met. We aren't a big corporation with shiny desks. It’s mostly just us handling paperwork and talking to families who need some extra help or guidance. Being in the 751030 area code means we see a lot of different people from all walks of life. Some days are long and the tea gets cold before we can drink it. We handle a variety of social programs, trying to make things a bit easier for folks around Bhubaneswar. It can be complicated sometimes with all the different rules and steps involved in social work. We just take it one person at a time. The building itself is easy to find if you know the neighborhood. We’ve been here long enough that the neighbors know us by name. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. Most of our time goes into the actual work we do for the people who come through our doors. It feels good to be part of the community here. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing. It is how we have always worked.
