Asst Manager As Standerd Charterd Bank

My name is Alok Mohanty and I work as an assistant manager for Standard Chartered Bank here in Bhubaneswar. Our location is at house number 867 in the Bhimtangi H B Colony, Phase II. It is right off Mahatab Road which is a pretty well-known part of the city. Working in a bank means my day is full of numbers and people. Even though it is a big bank, this office feels more local because of the colony setting. The housing board colony is a quiet place compared to the main road traffic. I spend a lot of time on the computer checking accounts and making sure the transactions are all correct. It is a lot of responsibility and you have to be careful with every detail. The office has the usual bank feel but it is a bit smaller than the main branches. We know a lot of the people who come in because they live nearby. Orissa weather can be very wet during the monsoon and that usually slows things down a bit. I try to keep my desk organized but there are always new files coming in. It is not about being the best or having a big mission. It is just about being reliable and helping the customers with their money. The day goes by fast when you are busy and there is always something to do before we close up for the evening.
