Our office is in Sahid Nagar, inside the B S Complex at A 409. It’s a Type Iv unit, so it’s got a specific layout that we’ve all gotten used to. Bhubaneswar is a bit more laid back than the bigger metros, but we still keep busy. The complex has a lot of other businesses, so there’s always people moving around the hallways. We’ve been here at Genpact India for a good while. The office isn't flashy. It’s got white walls that are starting to show some age and rows of desks that have been through a lot. We just do our work. There’s no big mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just know what we have to do and we get it done. The afternoon sun hits the windows pretty hard, so we usually have the blinds pulled down. We have our little routines, like who gets to the office first to turn on the lights. It’s a quiet sort of productivity. We aren't looking for attention. We just handle the accounts and the processing work that comes our way. It’s a steady job in a steady part of town. We like the local food stalls nearby for lunch. It’s just a normal, everyday office where people put in their hours and then go home to their families. We stay focused on the tasks and try to keep things organized as best as we can without making a fuss.
