Khodiyarpura Primary School

Khodiyarpura Primary School sits right on the Main Road in Sojitra. Since we are located in the Anand district with the pin code 387240, there is always a lot of activity passing by our front gate. The school is for younger children, so it gets quite loud and energetic once the morning starts. We have a small building that houses the different primary classes. The walls are often decorated with drawings made by the students, which adds a bit of color to the rooms. Because we are on the main road, we have to keep a close eye on the kids during the breaks to make sure they stay within the school boundaries. The classrooms have small chairs and tables suited for little children. We use basic teaching tools like charts and pictures to help them learn their letters and numbers. The staff here is mostly local, so we know the parents and the neighbors quite well. It’s a busy place, and there is always something going on, whether it is a lesson being taught or the kids playing in the small yard. We don't have a big office or anything like that. Just a small desk for the head of the school and a place to keep the school supplies. It is a simple primary school where we focus on the basics every day. The sound of the traffic outside is just part of the background here in Sojitra.
