Adarsh Primary School

Adarsh Primary School is located in Nandasan, which is part of the Mahesana Block. We are situated right near the Gandhi Smarak Kanya School, so that’s usually how people find us if they are new to the area. It’s a primary school, so our days are filled with younger children running around and the general noise that comes with that. The building is simple and serves its purpose well enough. We have a few rooms where the different grades meet. Being in a block like Mahesana, we see a lot of local families coming through. It’s a very grounded kind of place. There isn’t much in the way of fancy decorations or anything like that. We just have the basic stuff the kids need for their lessons. The yard out front is where the children gather in the morning for their prayers and then again later to play. Sometimes the cows from the nearby farms wander close to the gate, which the kids seem to enjoy. It’s just a normal day-to-day existence here. We deal with the heat in the afternoons and the dusty wind that blows through the village. The teachers are usually busy grading papers or talking to parents who stop by after work. It’s a small community school that’s been part of the Nandasan landscape for a while now. We just keep doing what we do every day without much noise.
