Jay Bhavani Vadapav

If you are around the University Circle in Vallabh Vidyanagar, you have probably passed by Jay Bhavani Vadapav. We are located at Shop No G 1 and G 2, right in the Claver Boys Hostel building. Since we are in a hostel, we spend our whole day surrounded by students from the university. It is a very lively and noisy part of Anand, and there is never a dull moment. We mostly focus on making vadapav and other quick snacks that the kids like to eat between their lectures. Every morning starts with us mashing potatoes and getting the spices ready for the first batch. By the time lunch rolls around, the place is usually packed with students talking about their classes or cricket. We do not have a huge amount of space for sitting, but everyone seems to find a spot anyway. It is a very simple operation. We do not have a big fancy menu, just the items we know we can make well and fast. The university area keeps us very busy, especially in the evenings when everyone is out for a walk. We have seen many groups of students come and go over the years as they graduate and move on. We try to keep our prices reasonable because we know how it is for students living away from home. It is just a local snack joint doing its best to serve the neighborhood.
