Jai Prakash Cement Grinding Unit

The Jai Prakash Cement Grinding Unit is situated out in the Kheda district of Gujarat. Specifically, we are over in Sangol village, which is part of the Thasra taluka. If you know the area, we are right near the Wanakbori Thermal Power Station. It is a very industrial spot, and the dust is just a reality of what we do every day. Grinding cement isn't clean work, but it is what keeps the construction industry moving around here. The machines are loud and they run for long hours. We have a lot of local workers from the village who come in for their shifts. It’s a practical environment where people wear boots and heavy clothes. We don't have any fancy corporate offices on site. It’s mostly just the grinding units, storage sheds, and a small area for the administrative stuff. The weather in Gujarat gets incredibly hot in the summer, which makes the work even tougher, but the crew is used to it. We just focus on getting our daily amount done and making sure the cement is ground to the right consistency. There are trucks coming in and out of the village all day long. It can be a bit chaotic at times, especially when the power station is busy too. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. It’s been our routine for a long time now.
