Sri Venkateswara Swamy Transport

If you head down to Manchukonda Village in the Urban District, you will find us at H No 3-100/2. This is where Sri Venkateswara Swamy Transport runs from. It is a dusty place because of the trucks coming in and out all day. My boots are usually covered in mud or grit from the yard. We are not a fancy logistics firm with GPS screens on every wall. It is more about knowing which driver is where and making sure the diesel tanks are full. We started with just one vehicle and now we have a few more, but it is still a small family-run feel. The office is just a small room with a calendar and a lot of keys hanging on the wall. Sometimes the phones will not stop ringing, and other times we are just waiting for a load to arrive. We spend a lot of time talking to the drivers and checking the tires. It is hard work and the hours are long, especially when a truck breaks down in the middle of the night. But this is the village we belong to, and the business is part of our daily life here. We do not use big words to describe what we do. We just move things from one place to another and try to keep the engines running smooth. That is our day, from sunrise until late at night.
