Shift Incharge In Sree Metalics,Anugul

Subhra Prakash Rout works as the shift incharge over at Sree Metalics in Anugul. It is a tough job in the metal sector, dealing with heat and heavy machinery all day long. When the work day is done, the home base is actually in Keonjhar. We stay over at Baniapat, specifically on D.D. College Road. It is the house of N.K. Rout. Life in the plant is very different from the quiet of the college road area. In Anugul, the shift incharge has to keep everything moving. If a machine stops, the whole line stops. It is a lot of pressure but it is honest work that pays the bills. We have been part of the Orissa industrial scene for a while now. Moving between Keonjhar and the plant takes some time, but we are used to it. The production floor is where we spend most of our waking hours. It is loud and can get quite messy with all the metal processing going on. We do not have a fancy office with air conditioning. It is just about being on the floor and making sure the guys are doing their jobs right. Back home in Keonjhar, we can finally get some rest. It is a simple life of working hard and then coming back to a familiar neighborhood. We do not need a lot of big words to explain what we do. We just make sure the metal gets made every single day without any major issues.
