Maa Ganga Public School

Our school is located in Khanpur, along the Paranipur Meja Road. It’s in the Paranipur area of Allahabad, which is a bit of a distance from the main city hub. We are surrounded by fields and small village houses. It’s a quiet place, mostly. The school is a simple structure where the local children come to learn. We have a small playground that is mostly just dirt, where the kids play cricket or tag during their breaks. The classrooms are basic with wooden benches and old blackboards. We don’t have a lot of modern equipment, so we rely on books and talk. The teachers are mostly from the nearby villages. They walk or bike to the school every morning. We start the day with a simple assembly. Because we are near the Meja Road, it’s easy for people to find us, but it’s not a high-traffic area. The building could use a fresh coat of paint, but it keeps the rain out and the sun off. We focus on the primary subjects like Hindi, English, and math. There’s no big mission statement on the wall, just the school rules. Sometimes the cows from the nearby farms wander near the gate. It’s just a rural school doing what it can for the kids in Khanpur. We’ve been part of the community here for a long time. It’s a slow-paced life, and the school follows that same rhythm. We just take things one day at a time.
