S.V.P. English Medium High School

S.V.P. English Medium High School is situated in the Kuthla area of Katni. You can find us right at Panna Tiraha in the Lal Bahadur Shastri Ward. Katni is a busy town known for its railway junctions and stone industry, and our school is tucked into one of the local residential wards. We provide education for high school students. The building is an older one, and it’s been a part of the Kuthla neighborhood for many years. It has a very traditional feel. The classrooms have big windows to catch the breeze, which is necessary during the hot months here. We have basic wooden furniture and blackboards that have been used by many generations of students. The teachers are mostly people from Katni who understand the local community. We don't have a big corporate structure or a fancy website. Most of our students come from families living within walking distance or a short rickshaw ride. The school day has a very set routine, starting with the morning bell and ending in the afternoon heat. During the break, the kids gather in the small courtyard. It can get quite loud, but that’s just how it is. We deal with the usual school business—distributing books, organizing exams, and talking to parents about their children’s progress. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We are just a regular English medium school serving our part of Katni and we have been here a long time.
