Sarthalibani Farmer Producer Company Limited is based in the Bani area. This is part of Bashohli in the Kathua district. Our address is at Vinod Kumar’s place. We are in the 184206 area of Jammu and Kashmir. Kathua is a place where many of us have spent our whole lives. We understand the ground and what it can produce. This company was put together so that we could work as a group. It’s hard to do everything by yourself when you are a farmer. You have to buy supplies, grow the crops, and then find someone to buy them. By being a producer company, we can handle these things a bit better. We aren't some big firm from the city. We are just your neighbors from Bani. We speak the same language and face the same problems every year. Sometimes the rain is too much, and sometimes it's not enough. We discuss these things at our meetings at Vinod Kumar’s house. There’s no big signage or expensive furniture. We just have our notebooks and our knowledge of the land. We want to make sure the farmers in Bashohli get what they deserve for their hard work. It’s a simple goal but it takes a lot of effort every single day. We are just regular people trying to make the farming life a bit more stable for everyone involved in our little group. It makes the burden a bit lighter when we all share the load.
