Guru Gang Dev Ji College Of Education. We are located in Chann Rorian, which is a part of Kathua. This is a college where people come when they want to learn how to be teachers themselves. It’s a bit of a quiet spot compared to the busier parts of the state, but we like it that way. The college building is a straightforward one, sitting on its own plot of land. Students arrive from all over the Kathua district, usually carrying their bags full of textbooks and notes. We have some classrooms with long benches and a small library that’s a bit crowded with old journals and education books. There’s a small office near the front where the staff keeps track of the admissions and the daily schedule. You might see people sitting out in the sun during the winter months because it gets quite chilly here. We don't have any fancy cafeteria, just a place where students can sit and eat what they brought from home. The hallways are plain, and the walls have some posters about teaching methods and old exam dates. It’s a very regular college life here, with people just trying to finish their degrees so they can go out and work in schools. We open up early and close once the last lecture is done. It’s just a place for learning, tucked away in Chann Rorian, and we’ve been doing this for several years now.
