Sirajul Huda English Medium High School

Our school is situated in Udyavara, down in the Manjeshwar area of Kasaragod. It’s a high school, so things get a bit more serious here with the older students preparing for their futures. The English medium classes mean we focus a lot on the books, but life here is much more than just what’s on the pages. The mornings usually start with the sound of cycles and buses arriving at the gate. Being this close to the border, we see a lot of different people coming and going. The building itself is straightforward—classrooms, a small area for assembly, and some space for the kids to hang out during their breaks. We don’t go in for anything flashy. Most of the staff have been here for years, and we’ve seen brothers and sisters from the same families pass through our halls. The coastal air in Kasaragod can be a bit heavy sometimes, but the fans keep the rooms decent enough for studying. We just try to keep the kids focused on their lessons so they can do well. It’s a busy place with a lot of noise during the lunch hour, but that’s just how a school should be. We just keep things running day by day, making sure the gates are open on time and the lessons are taught. It is a steady routine that keeps the whole neighborhood connected.
