Our office for Shobikaa Impex Pvt. Ltd. is on Sannidhi Street in Vennaimalai. It’s a very traditional kind of street, leading towards the temple area. You can often see people walking by in their morning clothes heading for prayers. We started this company a while ago and it has stayed in this same spot. Even though we are a private limited company, we don't act like those big firms in the city. Our office is just a regular room with some desks pushed together and a lot of ledgers. We do a lot of the work by hand still, even with the computers sitting there. The walls are a bit scuffed and we have calendars from three years ago still hanging up because we like the pictures. Vennaimalai is a good place to be, it’s not as chaotic as the center of town. We have a small balcony where we can see the street below. Usually, the day goes by with a lot of phone calls to transporters and suppliers. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just rely on the work we do and the people we know. It’s a quiet life mostly. We take our time with the chores and make sure the paperwork is sorted before we leave for the day. It’s just us, doing our thing on Sannidhi Street every day of the week.
