You can find Ard Exports & Imports at No. 118 on the Trichy Main Road, right in the Kolandhagoundanoor area of Pasupathipalayam. Being on the main road means it’s always busy with buses and trucks going past at all hours. It’s a bit noisy, but it makes transport a lot easier for us when we need to ship things out. We handle both exports and imports, so there is always something coming in or going out. The office is tucked into the building there, nothing too fancy, just a place to keep the files and sit down for a minute. We spend a lot of time out on the floor checking the crates. It gets dusty, especially with the road so close, so we’re always dusting things off. We don’t have a big corporate structure here. It’s just a few of us making sure the orders are correct and the shipping dates are met. Sometimes we run behind, and we have to stay late to catch up, but that's just part of the trade. We don't use a lot of big words or try to impress anyone. We just tell you what we have and when it can get there. It’s a very practical business. Most of our day is spent talking to drivers and checking manifests. It’s a lot of small details that you have to get right every time. We enjoy the work, even when the traffic outside is a total nightmare.
