Sri Murugan Traders

You’ll find Sri Murugan Traders at Door No. 2 in Nalliya Goundan, Pudur. This is part of the Ayyampaayam Post area in Kodumudi. It is a rural spot. Things move a bit slower than in the big cities. We handle a lot of local goods, mostly related to what the farmers around here are growing or needing for their land. The warehouse is a basic structure with a tin roof. It gets really loud when it rains. We spend our days weighing bags and loading them onto tractor trailers or small lorries that come through the village. There is always a layer of red dirt on the floor. No matter how many times we sweep it out, it comes back. It is a family-run operation. You’ll often find one of us sitting on a stool by the door waiting for the next delivery. We don’t have a big marketing plan. People in Kodumudi just know who we are and where to find us when they have something to trade. The heat in the afternoon can be tough. We usually take a long break when the sun is at its highest point. The paperwork is kept in a small wooden desk. This desk has been in the family for three generations. It’s not a complicated business. It is just honest work moving goods from one place to another. We take pride in just showing up every day and making sure the accounts are right at the end of the month.
