Kumar Blocks

Our place, Kumar Blocks, is located over at No 473 on Andankoil East Covai Road. It’s a pretty straightforward setup here. We mostly deal with cement blocks and other building materials that people need for their local construction projects. The yard gets quite busy in the mornings when the trucks arrive to pick up their loads for the day. You’ll find us out there checking the inventory or talking to the drivers. Dealing with blocks isn't exactly clean work, so there's always a bit of grit around the place. We’ve been at this spot for some time now, and we’ve seen the road change a bit, but we just keep doing what we do. People from around the area stop by when they’re starting a small build or maybe fixing a wall. We don’t have a big office or anything like that. It’s mostly just the storage area and where we handle the loading. Sometimes the sun is really hot out on Covai Road, which makes the work tougher, but you get used to it. We try to keep enough stock so people don’t have to wait too long. It’s not a complicated business, just making sure the blocks are ready and the counts are right when they leave the gate. If you're driving past Andankoil East, you can't really miss the stacks of blocks piled up near the road.
