Sreedharan C. is the one in charge here at Loyal Export. We are based at No. 12- A in Ramakrishnapuram, which is right in the middle of Karur. This town is known for its textiles, and that’s a big part of what we deal with every day. The office is part of the warehouse area, so it’s never really quiet. You can always hear the sound of packing tape or the trucks backing up. We’ve been here for years, and most of the people who work here live just a few streets away. It’s a local operation. Sreedharan is usually at his desk by seven in the morning, checking the orders that came in overnight. We aren't a corporate giant; we’re just a group of people trying to get goods from Karur out to the rest of the world. The walls in the office could use a new coat of paint, but we haven't had the time to get around to it. We focus more on getting the shipments out on schedule. Dealing with exports means there’s always something going wrong somewhere, like a truck breakdown or a port strike. We spend our days fixing those little problems so they don't become big ones. We eat lunch together most days at the big table in the back. It’s a straightforward business. We don't have a fancy mission statement or anything. We just do the work and hope for the best.
