Ganpati Computer Clinic

If you go to Gole Market in Model Town, you will find us at number 7. We call it Ganpati Computer Clinic because that’s exactly what it is—a place where we try to fix whatever is wrong with people's machines. The shop is filled with monitors, old motherboards, and a lot of tangled wires. It’s not the neatest place, but we know where everything is. Model Town is a busy neighborhood, and being in Gole Market means there are always people moving around. We get a lot of students who have spilled something on their laptops or offices that have a computer that just won't turn on. I spend most of my time hunched over a desk with a screwdriver in my hand. It can be frustrating when a part doesn't arrive on time, but that’s just how it goes. We don't have a fancy showroom; it’s more of a workshop feel. The air smells a bit like solder and old dust. Sometimes people come in just to ask a quick question about their software. We help them out if we can. The market gets very loud in the evenings, so we usually close up then. It’s been our spot for a while now, and we’ve seen technology change a lot, but the basic problems stay the same. People just want their computers to work again so they can get back to their lives. We do our best with what we have.
