Greesh Traders & Bros

Greesh Traders & Bros is located in the Old Dana Mandi area of Phagwara, right across from the Moni Babaji Mandir. Being in the Mandi means it is always noisy and crowded with tractors and carts. We’ve been in this spot for quite a long time now. It’s a family-run thing, so it’s mostly just me, my brother, and a couple of helpers. We trade in different goods depending on the season. The shop is quite old and has a very high ceiling which helps keep it cool when the sun is beating down on Phagwara. We have big wooden counters and the floor is always a bit dusty from the grain bags. You can hear the bells from the temple across the road every morning and evening, which is quite nice actually. It’s a very traditional way of doing business here. We know most of the farmers and other traders by their first names. We don't really do much on the computer, we still use a lot of paper notebooks to keep track of what comes in and goes out. Sometimes we sit on the stools outside and have tea while we wait for the next load to arrive. It’s a simple life and the work is steady. We don't have a polished image or a fancy office. It’s just a basic trading shop in the middle of a very busy market.
