Megha Machines (India)

Our workshop is at B/13-387 in Varinder Nagar, which is right near the Panj Mandir. You can usually hear the bells from the temple if the wind is blowing the right way. The building is tucked away a bit, so you have to look for the number on the gate. We have got a lot of heavy parts and metal pieces scattered around the main floor. It is a bit of a maze sometimes, but we know our way through it. The lighting is not the best in the back corners, so we use portable lamps when we are working on something detailed. Most of our day is spent handling the machines and making sure everything is running like it should. We get quite a bit of grease on our hands, so there is always a rag nearby. It is a noisy place when the tools are going, but we are used to it by now. The neighbors are mostly other small businesses and some houses, so we try not to make too much noise late in the evening. We have a small desk near the front where we keep the invoices and the phone. It is a practical setup for the kind of repairs and assembly we do here. Sometimes people stop by just to ask for directions to the temple, and we do not mind helping them out. We just point them the right way and get back to work. We have a heavy toolbox that has been with us since we started. The floor gets a bit cluttered with metal scraps, so we sweep it out.
