Vipin General Store

Vipin General Store is located at Shop No-12 in the 7/147 block of Swaroop Nagar. We are right on the Arya Nagar Road, which is a place that stays pretty active throughout the day. One of the main things about our location is being near Kanpur Vidya Mandir, so we get a lot of school kids coming in for small things like erasers, pencils, or those cheap snacks they like after classes are over. The shop isn't very big, so we have to be clever with how we stack the crates of soda and the bags of flour. It’s a typical Kanpur neighborhood store. We have everything from light bulbs to jars of pickles. The walls are lined with metal racks that have seen better days, but they hold everything up just fine. Sometimes the street gets blocked with traffic, especially when school lets out, and it gets quite loud for a while. We don't have any air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that hums along while we work. It’s a simple routine of opening up, dusting the jars, and waiting for the regulars to show up for their daily supplies. We’ve been in Swaroop Nagar for a good bit now, and we know which neighbors prefer which brand of tea or which soap. It’s just a plain, useful shop for the people living around Arya Nagar Road who don't want to go all the way to a big market for every little thing.
