Jaiswal Prov Store

Jaiswal Prov Store is located at 119/98 on Bamba Road, right near Gumti No 5. Being in the Sabji Mandi area means it is always noisy and there are people everywhere from dawn till dusk. We keep the shop open pretty late most nights because that is when people realize they forgot to buy salt or sugar for the next morning. It is a small shop and the shelves are usually packed right to the ceiling with bags of pulses, rice, and snacks. It can be hard to find things sometimes if you do not know the layout, but I know where everything is. I have lived around Gumti No 5 my whole life so I know almost everyone who walks through the door. We do not have a computer system here, just a simple notebook where I write things down if someone needs to pay me back later. The floor gets dusty because of the road construction nearby and the ceiling fan makes a clicking sound that I really should look at one of these days. It is just me and my younger brother running the place. We drink a lot of tea while waiting for customers to drop by. It is just a regular grocery store, nothing special about it, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills. Bamba Road is a tough place to work in the heat but it is our home.
