G H Fashion is right in the middle of the chaos at No. 40/132 in Khana Bazar. If you know Kanpur, you know that Meston Road is always packed with people and rickshaws. We are near the Beech Wala Mandir, so we use that as a landmark when people are trying to find us. Our shop is filled with rolls of cloth and piles of finished garments stacked almost to the ceiling. It’s a tight squeeze inside, especially when we have new stock coming in. We’ve been here for a long time, and the building shows its age, but it’s home to us. The bells from the temple nearby ring throughout the day, which is a nice sound to work to. We deal with all sorts of fabrics and styles, mostly for people who want something reliable and well-made without the designer price tag. The air is always full of the smell of new textiles and the sound of people bargaining outside. We don't have a website or a marketing team; people usually find us just by walking through the bazaar or hearing about us from their neighbors. It’s a family-run kind of vibe here. We drink a lot of tea, talk to the other shopkeepers, and spend our hours measuring out cloth or checking the stitching on a new batch of shirts. It’s a noisy, busy, and sometimes dusty way to work, but it’s the life of the bazaar.
