Maks Brothers

Maks Brothers is set up at F-30, Site 2 in the Panki Industrial Area. It’s a gritty sort of place, very industrial with a lot of heavy machinery around the neighborhood. Our building is pretty straightforward, just a large space with high ceilings and a concrete floor that’s seen a lot of wear over the years. We have some heavy tools and equipment scattered around, and there is usually a smell of oil or metal in the air. It’s not the kind of place you’d come for a quiet chat. We are mostly busy with the hands-on stuff. There is a small office area off to the side where we keep the records, but it’s cramped and usually full of spare parts. The brothers are usually around, either on the floor or dealing with someone at the gate. Panki gets really cold in the winter and really hot in the summer, so we just dress for whatever the day brings. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate values posted on the walls. We just have a list of things that need to get done before the end of the week. People stop by all the time asking for this or that, and we do what we can. It’s a honest day’s work for us. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that’s usually the highlight of the afternoon. We stay late most days just to finish up.
