Stitch Needs

You can find us at 88/502 in Shafiabad, which is part of the Chamanganj area. It’s a lively neighborhood with a lot going on at all hours. We handle all sorts of stitching needs here. Whether it is a small repair on a shirt or something much bigger, we usually have the tools and the time for it. The shop is tucked away a bit, so you have to keep your eyes open when you are walking down the street. We’ve got shelves full of threads in every color you can imagine. Sometimes it takes me ten minutes just to find the right shade of blue to match a customer's fabric. It’s a bit messy, to be honest. There are scraps of paper with measurements written on them all over my desk. I never got into the habit of using a computer for that. Writing it down by hand feels more real to me. We have been here for many years. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy with work to get to it. People stop by to chat as much as they do to get work done. It’s a local place through and through. We don’t have a big corporate office. It is just a workspace where we get things done. The tea man comes by twice a day and that’s usually when we take our only real breaks. It’s hard work on the eyes, especially as it gets dark. But we like being part of the life here in Chamanganj.
