You can find us at 80/86 on Latouche Road. It is a very crowded and narrow street, so there is always noise from the traffic and people shouting outside the door. Our trading agency is right in the thick of all that noise. The shop floor is usually piled high with boxes because space is very tight in this part of town. We spend a lot of our day moving stuff around just so we can reach the items at the bottom of a stack. It’s a bit of a workout for us. Sometimes the lights flicker when the power is acting up, but we just keep working by the light coming in from the main doorway. We have been on Latouche Road for quite some time now. Everyone knows the tea seller who sits near our entrance every morning. We get a lot of walk-in customers asking for prices or checking if we have something specific in stock. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is if you give us a minute to look through the shelves. We write down most of our sales in big, thick ledgers by hand. It feels more reliable to us that way. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to actually get around to it. We are mostly focused on the day-to-day buying and selling of goods. It’s a busy life here, but we like being in the center of all the market activity. There’s always something happening right outside.
