You can find us at Plot No. 88 in the Galla Mandi. If you've ever been to a mandi, you know exactly what it’s like. It’s a world of its own, full of trucks, sacks of grain, and people shouting to get things moved. We are right in the middle of all that chaos. Our spot at Plot 88 is mostly just a place to store things and keep the records straight. There’s a lot of dirt and dust because of all the produce moving around, so we stop trying to keep the floor perfectly clean by ten in the morning. The air is thick with the smell of the market. We have a small desk where we handle the orders and a couple of stools for visitors who stop by. It’s not the kind of place where you come to relax. It’s where you come to get business done. The sun beats down on the open areas of the market, so we appreciate the shade we have inside our space. We spend a lot of our time talking to drivers and farmers who come through. There’s a constant noise of engines and carts. It’s a busy, messy, and very real place to work. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, just what we need to weigh things and keep track of who owes what. It's a simple life but it keeps us very busy every day of the week.
