Kheya Women Agro Producer Company Limited

We are a group of women working together in Kanpur village. Our post office is over in Barizpur, and we fall under the Usthisouth 24 Parganas area. It’s a rural spot, and that’s where our roots are. We started this company to help ourselves and the other women in our village with agro work. It’s not some big business move; it’s just us trying to make things better for our homes and our families. We work out of the village itself, so there’s no fancy office building or signage. You’ll usually find us together, discussing the crops or figuring out the best way to get things to market. The area around Kanpur is mostly farmland, so we are right in the middle of where the action is. We deal with a lot of different agricultural tasks every day. It gets tiring, but we have each other to lean on. We aren't used to writing about ourselves in a formal way. We just know how to work the soil and take care of the plants. Sometimes we meet under a tree or in someone’s front yard to get our planning done. It’s very informal but we get the job finished. We’re proud of what we’re doing here in South 24 Parganas. It’s about being independent and making sure our community stays strong. No big promises, just real work every day. It’s a long way from the city, but we like it here. We're just trying to make a living and support our local area through farming.
