S. B. Collection

The shop is tucked away at No. 237 in C-Block Swaraj Nagar, right here in Panki. If you’re walking down the main street, you might miss it if you aren't looking, but most of the people who live around here know exactly where we are. We have racks of clothes and different items squeezed into the space. It’s not a huge place, so things can get a bit crowded when we get a new shipment in. Boxes usually sit near the entrance for a day or two until we find the time to unpack everything. The lighting inside is a bit bright, but it helps to see the colors of the fabric. Sometimes the neighborhood kids run past the front window and make a lot of noise, which is just part of being in this area. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything, just the one above the door that’s been there since we opened. I spend most of my afternoon folding things back up after people have looked through them. It can be a lot of work, especially when the fans are blowing the lighter clothes around. Panki gets quite dusty, so I’m always dusting off the shelves in the morning. It’s just a regular local shop where we try to keep things moving. We don't do anything too complicated, just show up, open the locks, and see who comes in to browse the collection today. We like to keep the door open to let some air in when it’s not too hot.
