Meher Garments

We are located at A/360 Barra- 6, right near the A/ 359 block. Meher Garments isn't a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s basically a converted part of the building where we keep all the stock. We started out just selling to neighbors and friends, but then more people started showing up. The street outside is usually quiet except for when the school bus drops the kids off. Inside, there are shelves all along the walls filled with different types of garments. We don't really have a window display, so you just have to walk in to see what we have currently. Sometimes the inventory is a bit messy because we’re busy unpacking new stuff. My wife helps out with the accounts while I handle the customers and the suppliers. We buy from a few different places, trying to get things that last a while. It’s a family business, and we live nearby, so we’re almost always around if someone knocks. Some days are slow, and we just sit and talk to the regulars who stop by for a chat. We’ve thought about moving to a bigger place, but this spot works fine for now. It’s easy for people in Barra to find us without going all the way to the main city center. We keep the prices fair because we know our customers personally. It’s a simple life, running a shop like this, but we enjoy it. We aren't trying to be big.
