Kashi Provision & General Store

Kashi Provision & General Store is located at 70/50 Muthri Mohal, right near Ghanta Ghar here in Kanpur. If you know the clock tower area, you know how busy it gets with all the rickshaws and people moving about. Our shop has been around this neighborhood for a long time. It’s a small space, but we manage to fit a lot of provisions inside. We have bags of flour, sugar, and all the usual spices that people use in their kitchens. Sometimes the light in the back of the store flickers a bit, but we know our way around even in the dark. It’s a family-run thing, so there’s always someone you know behind the counter. We don't have any big advertisements or shiny posters on the walls. People just know we are here at 208001. Kanpur can be quite dusty and loud, but inside the store, it's just the smell of tea leaves and spices. We spend our days measuring out portions and chatting with the locals who have been coming to us for years. It isn't a glamorous life, but it keeps us busy and we like the work. We open up quite early before the sun is fully up to get things ready for the first customers. By the time evening comes, we are tired but it’s a good kind of tired. We just keep things moving along for the neighborhood.
