Golden Bus Service

If you head down Hanspuram Hamirpur Road in Naubasta, you’ll find our place. We are right near the Bank of Baroda, which makes it easy for people to give directions to our office. Golden Bus Service has been operating out of this part of Kanpurnagar for a good amount of time. The yard is usually full of our buses, and there’s always the smell of diesel and grease in the air. It’s a busy spot. We spend a lot of time checking tires and making sure the engines are running okay before they head out. Naubasta is a crowded area, so getting the buses in and out can be a bit of a challenge some afternoons. I spend most of my day at the desk near the front window, watching the traffic go by on Hamirpur Road. We have a few drivers who have been with us for years, and they know these roads better than anyone. It’s hard work, keeping everything on time, especially with the state of the roads sometimes. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us, the buses, and the passengers who show up at the gate. We keep the office simple—just a few benches for people to wait on and a calendar on the wall. It’s a practical business, and we just try to keep the wheels turning every day. Sometimes we stay late to finish repairs or wait for a late arrival.
