We are set up at 59/4- A Birhana Road. It’s a pretty old street with a lot of history, and Goldstar Exim fits right in there. Birhana Road is almost always packed with traffic and people, especially in the evenings when everyone is out. Our space isn’t very large, but we’ve organized it over the years so we can fit everything we need for the export-import business. It’s a lot of paperwork, tracking shipments, and making sure the labels are right. Sometimes the dust from the street gets in when the door is open, so we’re always wiping down the desks. We’ve got a few old chairs and a big wooden table where we handle all the sorting. It’s not a corporate skyscraper or anything like that, just a regular building on a very busy road. I’ve been working here for years and I know most of the people who run the shops on this block. We have tea from the little stall nearby almost every afternoon around four. It’s a simple life, really. We don’t try to be something we’re not or use big words. We just focus on moving the goods and making sure the numbers in our books match up at the end of the month. There’s no secret magic to it, just staying late when the work piles up and coming in early when a new shipment arrives at the port to keep things moving along properly.
