Ali General Store

Ali General Store is located in the Lal Bangla area of Kanpur. If you know where the Lal Tanki is, you can find us pretty easily. We are right there by J K Fast. Lal Bangla is a very busy part of town, always lots of people moving about. Our shop is small, but we try to keep it stocked with whatever the neighborhood might need in a hurry. We have soaps, biscuits, batteries, and all those little things that you always seem to run out of. It gets very loud outside with all the horns and people talking, but inside it’s just us. We spend a lot of time rearranging things to make more space. It’s a family-run place, so there’s always someone you know behind the counter. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and close them at night. Sometimes the delivery guys are late, and we have to wait around for the crates to arrive. Kanpur summers are tough, but we have a small fan that helps. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but our shop stays pretty much the same. It is a reliable little spot for the locals who don’t want to go all the way to the big market. We just do our bit and keep the shelves filled with whatever is in demand lately.
