Kartavya Classes

Our place is over at Plot No 283 on Purana Shivli Road in the Kalyanpur part of Kanpur. We are tucked right behind R D Plywood which is where most people end up stopping when they are trying to find us for the first time. The road out front is often busy with trucks and rickshaws going back and forth all day long. Because we are behind the plywood shop, it stays a little bit quieter than being right on the main street but you can still hear the honking and the shouting from the market nearby. It’s a basic setup inside with just enough room for everyone to sit and do their work. We usually arrive early to open the shutters and let some fresh air in before the humidity picks up. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint but they do the job for now. Living and working in 208017 means dealing with the power cuts and the heat just like everyone else in the neighborhood. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy, just the name and the address. Most folks who come here are from the local area around Shivli Road. We’ve been at this spot for a bit now and it feels like home. The daily grind involves a lot of tea and checking the clocks. It is just a regular day-to-day life for us behind the shop in Kalyanpur.
