Jsw Steel Ltd. Bellary

This particular setup is a bit unique because we are based within IIT Kanpur. You can find us at Hall-7 in Room No I-216. Even though the address is in Uttar Pradesh, our focus is on the Bellary side of Jsw Steel Ltd. It's a bit of a trek across the campus sometimes, but it's a quiet environment to get things done. We handle a lot of the technical coordination and data from this small room. The students are always walking by, which keeps the energy up around the hall. It’s not your typical industrial office with trucks and heavy machinery right outside. Instead, we have the university atmosphere. Kanpur-208016 is the area code if you're looking at a map. We have a few desks squeezed in here, and there’s always a stack of reports that need looking at. It’s a lot of sitting and analyzing, which is quite different from the actual steel plants in Karnataka. We stay connected with the main operations via the internet and long phone calls. Sometimes the room feels a bit small when three of us are in there at once, but we make it work. It's a practical arrangement for the kind of specialized work we do. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting lounge, just our equipment and a couple of chairs for when someone drops by to chat about the projects. We usually stay fairly focused until it's time to head home in the evening.
