Over at number 207 in Bhairopur Tikra, Bikapur, that is where we keep our office. Bikapur Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is a small outfit run by people who actually know what it's like to be out in the sun all day. We are right here in the heart of the farming area. You won't find any suits or ties in our building. Most of us are wearing work clothes because there is always something that needs doing. We decided to group up because being a lone farmer is getting harder every year. By joining together, we can share the load a bit. We don't have a fancy website or a bunch of slogans. We just talk about the things that matter, like the quality of the soil and the price of diesel. The neighborhood is quiet for the most part, except when it is harvest time. Then everything gets a bit chaotic with tractors moving around. We’ve all known each other for years, so there is a lot of trust, even if we argue about the best way to do things sometimes. It is just a part of life here. We aren't looking to change the world, just our little part of it. If we can make the farms more stable, then we’ve done our job. It’s about keeping the traditions going while trying to be a bit smarter about the business side of the harvest.
