Thalassery has a specific feel to it, and our place at Valiyaparambath house in Thoovakunu fits right in. We are in the Kolavelloor area, which is part of Kannur. Wayn Mist Resorts is a small operation, and we mostly focus on the local environment. We named it after the mist that settles over the fields in the early morning. It’s a very peaceful sight to wake up to. We aren't a big chain with a lot of money; we are just a family-run business working out of this house. The address might seem long when you look at it, but it’s just a regular home where we’ve set things up. We don't use any professional writers for our descriptions. We just talk about what we see every day. Sometimes the rains are heavy and we have to fix the roof, or the garden gets overgrown and needs a lot of work. That’s just life in Kerala. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen or on the porch, talking to whoever is around. We don't have any grand plans to expand or become famous. We just want to keep the place running and enjoy the quiet life in Kannur. It’s a simple way to live, and we are happy with how things are going. We just do our best to make the house feel welcoming for anyone who visits us.
