This address belongs to Jagath Kumar, who is the son of C.M. Narayanan. The place is called Thiruvathira and it’s located in Kuruveli Mathil, Payyanur, which is up in the Kannur district of Kerala. Like some others, the business name says Bangalore, but this is the home ground in Kerala. Payyanur is a beautiful part of the world, and being here feels very different from the Golden Landmark Hotel itself. Our home office is where we handle a lot of the personal business and the background stuff that keeps things running. It’s a regular house in a quiet neighborhood. You won't find any big hotel lobby or room service here. Instead, you'll find us sitting on the porch or at a small desk, going through files and making phone calls. The air is fresh because we are in the Kannur area, and we have a lot of local neighbors who have known the family for generations. We don't try to act like a big corporation from this office. It’s a very personal, family-oriented way of working. Most of our days are spent keeping things organized and making sure everything is in order for the hotel operations further away. We like the balance of having the busy hotel life in the city and this calm place to come back to or work from in Kerala. It’s just how we have chosen to set things up for ourselves over the years.
