Indus Logistics

We run Indus Logistics out of our place in Edoor, Kannur. The full address is Chinchu Jose Thuruthippally Payam Po, and it's a spot we know very well. It’s a beautiful part of Kerala, but when the rains come, moving things around can be a real struggle. We aren't a massive shipping company with thousands of trucks. It’s more of a local operation where we keep track of boxes and deliveries. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to drivers and making sure things are where they are supposed to be. The office is pretty basic, just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of logbooks. Sometimes the roads are blocked or a truck breaks down, and we have to spend the whole day sorting it out. It’s not a glamorous job, and we often have dirt on our shoes from being out in the yard. We just try to get things from one point to another without too much trouble. Most of the people we work with are from around here, so we all know each other. We don't use any fancy tracking software that costs a fortune; we just use our notebooks and stay on top of things. It’s a lot of long hours, but it’s honest work and it keeps us busy in the Payam area every single day.
