Down here in Kannur district, things move at their own pace. Our place is in Padannakkara, near Pinarayi, and it’s called Thejus. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but the P.O. is Pinarayi, so people find us eventually. This is where we run Aviation. It is a small operation, mostly family and a few local hands helping out. We are surrounded by greenery, which makes for a nice view while we are busy with paperwork or making calls. Tellicherry is the nearest big town, but we prefer staying out here in the village area. The house is old but it works fine as an office for what we need. We don’t have a big staff or a HR department. If there’s a problem, we just talk it out over tea. Most of the day is spent handling local queries and keeping our records straight. We’ve been part of this community for a long time, so everyone knows where Thejus is. It’s not like those big city offices with glass walls. We have regular windows and the sound of the rain is quite loud during the monsoon. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes our way. It’s a quiet life, but we stay busy enough. There is always something to fix or someone to meet. We like being based in Kerala 670741 because it’s home and it’s where we belong. It is just a normal local business.
