Our place is located right at No- 1/578 in Payyenur. We are basically on the side of NH-17, which means there is a lot of noise from the trucks passing by all day. Most people find us because we are near the Federal Bank ATM. It's a good landmark since everyone stops there for cash anyway. We mostly deal with stone and keeping the inventory straight. The weather here can be a bit much, especially during the monsoon when we have to cover everything up. When it's dry, the yard stays busy. We’ve got different types of stone stacked up, and sometimes the dust gets everywhere, even inside the small office area. My hands are usually dirty from moving samples around for people to look at. We don't really do much advertising; people just see us from the highway and pull in. It’s a straightforward business. We wake up, open the gate, and start moving slabs. Sometimes the NH-17 traffic makes it hard for the delivery trucks to pull out, but we manage. Payyenur is a decent place to be based, even with the heat. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. There isn't any big secret to it, just keeping track of the stone and making sure the counts are right at the end of every week. We try to keep things simple here, so there is not much else to say.
