East India Exports & Imports is on the first floor of K.V.R. Tower, located at T.P.S. 4/361 in South Bazar. South Bazar is a very busy part of town, and there is always something going on downstairs. The noise from the market stalls and the people shopping usually drifts up to our office windows. It’s a good location for us because everything we need is within walking distance. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep, but we’re used to them. Inside, the office is filled with the smell of old paper and sometimes the spices from the shops nearby. We have a few big tables where we sort through all the import and export documents. It gets a bit crowded when we have a lot of paperwork to file, but we manage to keep it organized in our own way. We aren't a big company with a lot of departments; it’s just a few of us handling everything from start to finish. We've been in K.V.R. Tower for quite a while, and we know the other tenants well. It’s a hardworking atmosphere. We don't spend money on fancy furniture or modern decor. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay ahead of the deadlines. Sometimes we stay late when the shipments are heavy, but that is just part of the business.
