Working in Kanyakumari has its own rhythm. Our office, Acme Architecture And Designs, is situated at 1170 Haneefa Nagar on K P Road. It’s not a hard place to find if you know the locality. We spend a lot of time over drafting tables and computer screens here. Architecture isn't always as glamorous as people think, there's a lot of mundane stuff to handle every single day. We deal with the local requirements and try to make things work for whatever project is on the desk. Kanyakumari is a unique place to work because of the climate and the land, so we keep those things in mind. The office is just a regular workspace where we drink a lot of tea and try to get the drawings finished on time. We don't really go for those high-end presentations that some big city firms do. It’s more about sitting down and figuring out where the walls go. Some days are slow and others are completely packed with site visits or meetings. We’ve been here long enough to know how the local building scene works. Haneefa Nagar is a good spot for us. It stays busy enough but we can still get our work done without too much noise. We don't have any big slogans or anything. We just take on the jobs that come our way and try to be useful to the people who hire us.
